The studio

A one-room studio for brands that would rather do less, better.

Principles

What we operate by.

One operator per brand.

The person who diagnoses your brand is the person who builds it. No account managers, no junior layers, no slide factories.

Async by default.

Briefs replace discovery calls. Deliverables ship as documents and Loom videos. Live sessions are reserved for moments where real-time conversation adds something async can't.

Editorial discipline.

Every asset is written or designed with the same question underneath: could this be shorter, quieter, or more precise?

A small number of brands at a time.

Precision doesn't scale by adding people. It scales by removing them. We work with fewer brands so each one gets the attention the retainer implies.

Method

Three moves. In order.

01

Decant

Strip the brand to what actually moves the metric. No more pillars, no more wheels, no more 40-slide decks.

In practice: audit the current brand system against three questions. What's a claim your competitors also make? What's a visual element that's decorative rather than functional? What's a channel you're operating out of obligation, not conviction? Everything in those buckets goes.

02

Compose

Rebuild around one decisive insight - the one that makes every channel, asset and email easier to write.

In practice: identify the single insight your category rewards but your competitors won't say. Rebuild the identity, the copy system, and the funnel around that insight. If the insight is right, every future decision gets easier - not harder.

03

Compound

Every asset earns its place by doing more work, not by being one more piece in the queue.

In practice: every content piece, every email, every landing is designed to be reused, recut, or referenced later. A brand compounds when the twelfth month of work leverages the first three - not when it produces twelve times more.

Jorge Silva, founder of Haiku Branding Studio

Before running campaigns, I spent two years in customer experience - reading what people actually write when a product doesn't arrive, when a page doesn't load, when an offer doesn't make sense. You learn quickly that most conversion problems are communication problems.

That's how I approach marketing now. Before touching the budget, I look at what the funnel is telling people, and where it stops making sense to them.

Origin

Why the name.

A haiku is 17 syllables. It doesn't work by adding more - it works because everything unnecessary has already been removed. The form itself is the argument.

Wellness brands don't lose to bigger competitors. They lose to noisier ones. The studio exists to make the case for the opposite move: less, on purpose, where it counts.

The name isn't a metaphor. It's a method.

Non-services
